Horizons at Summers Corner Homes for Sale: New Lennar Homes and Resales

Horizons at Summers Corner has two kinds of listings: new Lennar homes and resales from owners who bought after sales began in 2022. It is the gated 55+ section of Summers Corner, a master plan of more than 6,000 acres in Dorchester County. Plans run from 1,309 to 2,518 square feet.

We help buyers weigh a new build against a resale, starting with how much builder warranty a resale still carries.

How Much Lennar Warranty Is Left on a Horizons Resale?

The Lennar limited warranty covers workmanship for one year, systems for two years and structure for ten. Each term starts on the original owner's closing date, and remaining coverage passes to the next owner.

That means a Horizons home first sold in 2024 has likely aged out of its workmanship and systems coverage, while the structural term runs into 2034. A home bought in 2025 may still have some systems coverage left. A new Lennar home starts all three terms at your closing. We ask resale sellers for the original closing date and warranty booklet, then schedule an inspection so we can find any open items before closing.

How Do the Cottages, Legends and Estates Differ?

As of October 2026, Lennar's Horizons page shows three selling collections. The Cottages range from 1,435 to 1,559 square feet and offer two or three bedrooms. The Legends run about 1,715 to 2,368 square feet, and the Waverly plan adds a fourth bedroom.

The Estates have the biggest plans, at about 1,844 to 2,518 square feet. Every Estates plan has a three-bay garage. A smaller Carriages collection is listed as coming soon.

Is the Horizons Club Open?

Listings from September 2026 describe the 26,000-square-foot Horizons Club as newly opened. They mention indoor and outdoor pools, a fitness center and a restaurant with a bar. Tennis, pickleball and bocce courts are part of the club too. Lennar's page lists the clubhouse but gives no opening date, so confirm hours and dining service with the sales team.

Outside the gate, Buffalo Lake has a lakeside pavilion and a dock for canoes and fishing.
