1010 Striper Ave Moncks Corner, SC 29461

Listing details for 1010 Striper Ave, Moncks Corner, SC 29461 : Pimlico was laid out in the late 1950s after the Air Force scratched plans to use this land for a ''sky high television tower''. Mr. Drayton Hastie, who oversaw Pimlico's development, was descended from the Draytons who owned Magnolia Plantation and Gardens. Home building began in the '60s and continues to this day. There are two medium-sized lakes in the center of the subdivision, and residents can boat and fish there as well as in the rice fields and the river. There are nine tiny ''parks'' scattered throughout the neighborhood - just little common areas where people can walk or sit by the river. So, whether drawn to its rich history or present day amenities' Pimlico provides homeowners with a boater's paradise just minutes from the City of Goose Creek. Here, you may build a fabulous hideaway on a beautifully symmetric lot and launch your watercraft in less than five minutes - And/or, you may purchase the lovely home (with Lot-and-a-half) directly behind you (1015 Live Oak Ave) near one of the most historically profitable rice plantations along the Cooper River. Either way, 1010 Striper offers an excellent opportunity to live in a wonderful community of people who love the outdoors and enjoy life on the water.
